Dating Tips for Men: Time Management – Part 2

by Vin DiCarlo

It is taught to young men that their physical urges is crude and silly, and that women are just doing a favor to sleep with them.

“Doofus dad” syndrome is another societal factor that I’m going on. In almost every TV commercial and sitcom, the “dad” or “boyfriend” or “husband” is a dopey, incompetent goof, and the mom/wife/girlfriend/daughter has to use her superior intelligence to fix the situation.

This will bring to the idea that the time of the women is more valuable than men because of the perception that women are “better.”

Praying with Clasped Hands

by Babes Tan-Magkalas

Praying with clasped or folded hands is quite common among Christians. Is there a meaning to this prayer gesture? Yes there is. Apparently, such a prayer posture is a symbol of obedience, sincerity, submission and repentance. Some raise their folded hands when they make a plea to God to answer their prayers.

This gesture, however, is not only common to Christians but to Jews as well. In the book entitled “Book of Jewish Knowledge” by Nathan Ausubel, he said: “It has also been commonly assumed that folding the hands in prayer is exclusively a Christian custom. This is not the historical fact at all. As early as the post-Exilic period, when Jews prayed, they folded their hands, and they observed this custom for several centuries even after it had been adopted by Christians.”

The Most Creative Dog Names

by Lacy Holly

Tired of searching high and low for the perfect dog names? Why do we put so much effort into choosing what we name our dog anyway? Well, it actually is quite important. I mean, if you are going to be calling your dog by that name day in and day out for the next several years it should be something good right?

You could consider regular people names such as Beth or Mikey. There have also been owners who have named their dogs after movie stars such as the good ole Lassie and of course, who can forget The Beast from the movie The Sand Lot?
